With a passion for designing campaign messages, I would like to share two sample campaigns created for health communications. Please find below each title a description of the campaigns purpose.
The Dangers of Artificial Sweeteners (2009)
This campaign was created in a health communication course and focused on the dangers of artificial sweeteners (i.e. aspartame, saccharine, sucralose, etc.). The main goal of the campaign attempted to persuade our target audience to reduce their intake of artificial sweeteners. This campaign incorporated various media outlets including: print ads, food blogs, billboards, e-mail newsletters, and coffee koozies. All channels were chosen based off a survey taken by our target audience of women ages 18-30.
Adolescent Involvement in Gangs (2009)
This campaign was designed in a course titled Theories of Persuasion. Our assignment was to construct a campaign message based upon a current issue and analyze the strengths and weakness of the messages. I chose to focus on adolescent involvement in gangs and target teachers due to their ability to witness early signs of gang association. Materials include a print advertisement and a brochure.
