Academic Honors and Activities

My education has always been an important aspect of my life and I have always strived to do my best in all areas of study. Throughout my college career I have always maintained high academic success. At the Laboratory Institute of Merchandising I was placed on both the Presidents List and Dean’s List for a cumulative GPA of 4.0. I have continued to maintain a 4.0 GPA at The College of New Jersey both overall and in my major. During the fall 2009 semester I was inducted into the Lambda Pi Eta Communications Honor Society and invited to join the Golden Key International Honor Society.

In addition to honors, I have been active in several clubs in the communications department at TCNJ. I am currently a member of Public Health Communication Club and Communication Studies Club. The Public Health Club has been actively involved in organizing health awareness campaigns around campus such as “Safe Oral Sex.” We have also invited key guest speakers to our campus including industry professionals and TCNJ alumni to speak about the industry and career opportunities.

At my previous college, I was an active member in the organization Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE). Here I attended training seminars hosted by the Bottomless Closet to teach financially disadvantage women resume and interview skills for re-entering the work force. Work attire was also provided for these women to allow them to start a new chapter in their lives.
